Dr. L.R. Garcia D.D.S., P.A.
Dr. Garcia received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Texas A&M University majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He then attended Baylor College of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1999. After graduation, he began practicing as an associate in Highland Park until he began his own private practice in Frisco in January of 2003. In addition to his dental practice, Dr. Garcia has been a clinical instructor since 2002 at Baylor College of Dentistry. This allows him the ability to share his knowledge and experience with young dental students, while keeping abreast of all of the newest techniques in dentistry.
A resident since 1999, Dr. Garcia enjoys living and practicing in the community of Frisco, TX . A member of the Frisco Sunrise Rotary, and past president in 2008, he enjoys giving back to his local community. While serving on the Sunrise Rotary Foundation Board, and being a member of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Garcia still finds time to be involved with his local Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, and American Dental Association.
Dr. Garcia stays up to date with the latest dental practices by attending continuing education courses around the nation. From Invisalign, Spears continuing education seminars, and implant dentistry, to OSHA and HIPAA seminars, he remains on the cutting edge of his dental education. Dr. Garcia is highly regarded amongst his dental and medical professionals. The result of this is proven by his inclusion in listings such as America’s Top Dentists and Super Dentists of Texas Monthly. Both of these awards are given based on peer reviews and recommendations.
When not in the office, Dr. Garcia coaches several youth sports including football, baseball, and volleyball. He also gives of his time through Texas Military Dentistry where he helps provide treatment for military personnel who are awaiting deployment. He enjoys working out , participating in 5k runs, sand volleyball, snow skiing, and fly fishing. Dr. Garcia has been married to his wife Kristy for over 20 years, and has a son Jack , daughter Reagan, and two beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Bella and Buddy.
